The U.K. Border Force will use AI technology for facial age estimation to verify the ages of asylum seekers, the Guardian reports. The plan came following a report from Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration David Bolt criticizing the government’s existing age estimation practices as falling “well short of its legal and moral responsibilities.”
