Turkey’s data protection authority, the KiÅŸisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu, issued a notice on amendments to Article 9 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data concerning personal data transfers abroad. The amendments allow for organizations to utilize standard contractual clauses and binding corporate rules will be permitted to transfer personal data outside of Turkey. The KVKK created several forms for entities using either method of transferring data to be stored on file with the agency.
