The UK Government has reportedly issued another secret order – a Technical Capability Notice – compelling Apple to weaken the security of iCloud, and Apple is taking the government to court.
Privacy International is also challenging the UK’s use of these powers because they can force companies to undermine secure systems without public scrutiny.
No government should be able to secretly order backdoors that destroy privacy and security.
