The digital body: Rethinking privacy and security in wearable health trackers

Increased wearable health tracker use has raised concerns around their broad collection of sensitive biometric data and subsequent protection of that information. Fraser Health Authority Manager, Privacy Reviews and Consulting Paula Pizzotti, CIPP/C, unpacked the practical concerns around trackers while explaining how they demand  “a shift in how privacy is conceptualized, not as an individual choice, but as a condition shaped by design and systemic practices.”
