Euractiv reports a paper from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre found AI benchmarking methods can be misused and urged regulators to study how they work. The researchers who wrote the paper recommended benchmarks should focus on real-world capabilities, define what they are measuring and why as well as be well-documented and transparent.
