Researchers find social platforms’ tracking tools can deanonymize consumer data

Researchers found technology embedded in Meta Pixel and Yandex Metrica tools can allegedly deanonymize android users’ consumer data, Ars Technica reports. Researcher Narseo Vallina-Rodriguez claimed, when tracking tools are able to break through data protection safeguards, the tools “allowed the Android system to communicate what happens in the browser with the identity running in the mobile app.”
