The U.K. Office of Communications said it is opening several investigations into alleged noncompliance with children’s safety obligations under the Online Safety Act. The agency will open nine separate probes covering a range of claims, including child sexual abuse material on file-sharing services, insufficient measures to protect children from illegal content and noncompliant age verification. The investigations will begin with evidence gathering and analysis.
