Lithuania’s State Data Protection Inspectorate’s annual enforcement report indicated the agency received 273 personal data security breach notifications in 2024 that affected more than 1,467,368 individuals. The SDPI said it found 49% of data security breaches were due to cyber incidents including cyberattacks, data encryption issues and human error.
