Italy’s data protection authority, the Garante, signed a memorandum of understanding with national police force the Carabinieri to strengthen collaboration. Carabinieri General Commander, Gen. Salvatore Luongo said the agreement represents “a synergy aimed at spreading the culture of data protection and raising awareness on the conscious use of technology” and highlights “how cooperation can lead to an interaction that will allow us to address the challenges of digitalization and cybersecurity more effectively.”Â
