Ireland’s Data Protection Commission released information about its ongoing cooperation with LinkedIn over the company’s plan to utilize user data for AI training purposes. The DPC noted LinkedIn implemented several recommended changes, including additional transparency standards, risk assessments and reduced “the scope of the personal data that LinkedIn would process to train its models.” LinkedIn’s data processing for AI training will continue to be monitored and it will be required to submit a report detailing its safeguards.
