Ireland’s DPC investigates airline’s data processing standards

Ireland’s Data Protection Commission announced it will investigate Ryanair’s personal data processing standards after receiving complaints about the airline’s customer verification process. “The verification methods used by Ryanair included the use of facial recognition technology using customers’ biometric data,” said DPC Deputy Commissioner Graham Doyle of the investigation.
