U.K. Information Commissioner John Edwards announced support for the proposed Cyber Security and Resilience (Network and Information Systems) Bill, which aims to bolster security standards around critical infrastructure. Edwards called the bill “an important piece of legislation that will strengthen the country’s cyber resilience and ultimately better protect people’s data.” The ICO will publish a formal response to the bill at a later date.
