Hamburg DPA urges consumer attention to Meta’s AI training data practices

The Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information published an advisory regarding Meta’s proposed artificial intelligence model training protocol and the utilization of users’ social media posts. HmbBfDI Commissioner Thomas Fuchs said concerned consumers should “object now” to the practices, which he characterized as having “many legal and factual questions that are still unresolved.”
