Computer Weekly reports the European Commission has been accused of mishandling the selection of the next European Data Protection Supervisor by not following transparency rules under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. A formal complaint alleges the Commission did not explain the selection of its preferred candidate, who was part of the Commission’s selection committee and why some decisions around the selection were made.
