Seven families in France filed a joint lawsuit against TikTok in Créteil’s judicial court over claims the platform allowed underage users to view harmful content, Reuters reports. Boutron-Marmion Associates Partner Laure Boutron-Marmion said TikTok is a “commercial company offering a product to consumers who are, in addition, minors. They must, therefore, answer for the product’s shortcomings.”
