European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen appointed the Commission’s new college commissioners. Notably, Finland’s Henna Virkkunen will be the Executive Vice-President for Tech-Sovereignty, Security and Democracy while Ireland’s Michael McGrath will assume the role of Commissioner for Democracy, Justice and the Rule of Law.
