The European Commission issued its “State of the Digital Decade 2025” report, which evaluates the state of the EU’s progress toward completing Digital Decade Policy Programme 2030 goals. The report concluded that despite advancements in areas such as “basic” 5G coverage, the EU remains “far from reaching its goals for deploying foundational technologies such as AI, semi-conductors, stand-alone 5G or digital skills,” and protecting “vulnerable groups” like children online.
