The European Commission opened a public consultation on potentially streamlining EU rules for general-purpose AI models. Guidelines issued by the Commission seek to clarify what constitutes a general-purpose AI model and how to determine if a company is using a general-purpose AI model. Stakeholder feedback will be accepted until 22 May.
