The European Commission adopted rules governing the operation of a scientific advisory panel for assisting the AI Office for implementing and enforcing the AI Act. According to the Commission, the panel will “offer technical advice and input on enforcement, including the ability to alert the AI Office of risks posed by a general-purpose AI model.” The Commission will soon launch its recruitment for the advisory group.
