One of the earliest requirements under the EU AI Act should not be a challenge for data professionals who have developed a strong data protection and privacy regime, according to a member of Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. The comments came during an IAPP AI Governance Global Europe 2025 panel, as participants mused on the AI literacy requirements now in effect and how they might factor into future enforcement.
