The European Data Protection Supervisor announced the European Commission completed the necessary remedies to resolve data protection issues outlined by the EDPS over the Commission’s use of Microsoft 365 in March 2024. The compliance measures undertaken by the Commission included limits on what types of personal data is processed by the Commission using Microsoft 365 and a halt on transfers to third countries that have not been deemed adequate by the Commission.
