The U.K. Department for Science, Innovation and Technology’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey found 43% of U.K. businesses experienced a cybersecurity incident, a decrease from 2024, when 50% of businesses experienced a cyberattack. DSIT said, “while progress is being made in certain areas, evolving threats like phishing and ransomware, and disparities between different types of organisations highlight persistent vulnerabilities.”
