The Council of Europe released its model contractual clauses agreed to by Convention 108 members during its 14-16 June plenary meeting. The CoE said the initial module for controller-to-controller clauses has “the potential to bridge similar transfer tools … and to contribute to the convergence towards appropriate data protection standards globally.” The clauses are set for preapproval by competent national authorities among Convention 108’s international signatories.
