France’s data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, said a proposed age verification system for sites with pornographic materials included significant parts of the regulator’s recommendations to protect users’ privacy. The Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority’s framework must be followed by relevant sites within three months of its publication.
