France’s data protection authority, Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés, will hold a joint academic event 20 May with the national treasury, the Agence France Trésor, focusing on the economic impact of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The event will feature economists, and French and EU regulators discussing how the GDPR is affecting public welfare, the costs of implementation and how effective implementation has been.
