France’s data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, published finalized recommendations for AI systems. The CNIL covered the EU General Data Protection Regulation application, the training of AI, security requirements and how to annotate training data. According to the CNIL’s 2025-28 strategic plan, the agency will focus on developing sectoral recommendations for using AI.
