Apple opened up about its approach to generative artificial intelligence following introduction of its on-device AI system, Apple Intelligence, at the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference. The company outlined its core AI principles, which include predeployment risk mitigation and privacy-preserving practices. Apple Intelligence will also include the Private Cloud Compute, which allows the system “to flex and scale its computational capacity, drawing on larger, server-based models to handle more complex requests, all while protecting user privacy.”
