Spain’s data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, said AI, video surveillance, internet services, and commerce, transportation and hospitality were the most common issues of the 18,855 complaints received in 2024. The agency said it responded to 62 emergency interventions through its priority reporting channels, which was a 72% increase compared to 2023.
