Spain’s data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, released its 2025-30 strategic plan. The AEPD detailed its efforts to remain proactive in enforcement, regulate AI technology and strengthen safeguards alongside innovation. The DPA will also collaborate with other authorities internationally “with special attention to key areas of technological innovation, mutual recognition of certifications and codes of conduct, adequacy decisions, and Binding Corporate Rules for international data transfers with guarantees.”
