OpenAI, DataBricks announce $100M partnership

OpenAI and Databricks agreed to a multiyear, USD100 million deal to offer AI services to large enterprises to help their efforts to build AI agents with their own data, The Wall Street Journal reports. The agreement makes OpenAI’s GPT-5 model available to businesses that store their organizational data within Databricks’ platform, “allowing them to build AI agents on top of it,” the report states. Databricks Co-Founder and Chief Executive Ali Ghodsi said, “We think it’s going to drive significant incremental, actual revenue and usage.”
