Netherlands DPA encourages LinkedIn users to opt out of data sharing for AI training

The Netherlands’ data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, is urging LinkedIn users to consider opting out of data sharing by 3 Nov. to prevent their information from being used for AI training, NL Times reports. AP Vice-Chair Monique Verdier warned once user data is shared with the AI model, “you lose control: it’s impossible to remove it, and the consequences are difficult to predict.”
