ICO digs into myths around user tracking strategy

The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office discussed misconceptions around how it is implementing its new strategy around online user tracking. The ICO outlined nine prominent issues it noticed during consultations and surveys regarding updated guidance on storage and access technologies launched earlier this year, including clarifications on the applicability of relevant laws to tracking technologies and how legitimate interest is applied.
