Germany’s Federal Cartel Office, the Bundeskartellamt, announced it will assess Apple’s App Tracking Transparency Framework in a market test after the company made changes to address competition concerns. While Apple made changes to its consent requests and technical mechanisms, Bundeskartellamt President Andreas Mundt said the office’s previous investigation into the framework “identified a fundamental need for change and are therefore carefully assessing whether the adjustments now proposed by Apple are sufficient.”
