European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski outlined his office’s supervisory role over EU institutions’ under the AI Act. He unpacked a voluntary mapping exercise of all potential high-risk AI systems that institutions, bodies and agencies are using or planning to use. The exercise found none of the declared AI uses were categorized as high-risk but agencies were having a hard time applying that definition to the systems they were using.
