The U.K. government plans to add language to the Crime and Policing Bill to allow the ability to work with the AI industry and children’s safety groups to prevent generative models from being used to create child sexual abuse images. The amended bill would designate groups to monitor AI models and ensure safeguards are in place to prevent abuse and allow developers to conduct testing for inappropriate images.Â
