Europol wants to use AI technology for investigations and as a tool for crime prevention; however, AI regulations could prevent the agency from being able to efficiently use AI, Politico reports. Europol Deputy Executive Director Jürgen Ebner said the agency could use AI to protect the EU’s digital infrastructure and help member state’s agencies with investigations.
