The European Commission launched two strategic initiatives to advance the EU in the global AI race. The strategies are called the Apply AI Strategy, which will support ramping up adoption of the technology in key EU industries, and the AI in Science Strategy, focusing on supporting AI-driven research and “scientific excellence.” Alongside the release of the new strategies, the Commission also launched the AI Act Service Desk, which will assist stakeholders comply with AI Act requirements. It features an information hub with guidance on applying certain provisions of the law. Also, within the Service Desk, there is the Single Information Platform that offers interactive online tools to help stakeholders evaluate what legal obligations they are subject to under the AI Act and what steps they can take to comply.Â
