A report from OpenAI found foreign adversaries are using multiple AI tools to conduct influence operations and phishing attacks, Axios reports. The creator of ChatGPT banned several accounts connected to nation-state campaigns that used AI to improve their existing tactics rather than inventing new ones. Those actors are also taking pains to remove signs of chatbot involvement in their materials, such as removing em dashes from writings.
