Consultancy firm plans on ‘exiting’ workers who can’t upskill on AI

CNBC News reports that technology consulting firm Accenture plans to lay off staff who are unable to reskill in artificial intelligence as part of its broader restructuring efforts. CEO Julie Sweet framed the change as part of its business optimization plan and that it needs a more AI-focused skillset to meet it. “Every CEO, board and the C-suite recognize that advanced AI is critical to the future,” she said.
