UK NCA arrests individuals connected to airline ransomware attack

The U.K. National Crime Agency announced an individual was arrested for allegedly violating the Computer Misuse Act in connection with a ransomware attack on Collins Aerospace, BBC News reports. The security incident caused several airlines to have days-long delays after Collin Aerospace systems were disrupted during the attack. “Although this arrest is a positive step, the investigation into this incident is in its early stages and remains ongoing,” said NCA National Cyber Crime Unit Head Paul Foster.
