Depending on consumers’ privacy settings, search engines, including Google, may be able to collect data based on the websites users visit, Forbes reports. The tracking, or digital fingerprinting, is able to collect vast amounts of users’ personal data without their explicit consent. Digital fingerprinting can be disabled within users’ advanced privacy settings on their mobile devices.
