MirosÅ‚aw Wróblewski, president of Poland’s data protection authority, the UrzÄ…d Ochrony Danych Osobowych, requested the head of civil service list the position of government data protection officer among other civil service positions. Wróblewski wants government DPO positions to be listed among the civil service because not listing the position complicates efforts to ensure DPOs are sufficiently independent.
