In an op-ed for City A.M. BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT Head of Policy and Public Affairs Dan Howl highlighted a report into the U.K. Post Offices’ Horizon scandal that found a lack of standards around AI could harm consumers and employees. “If leaders don’t understand the ethical and operational risks of digital decisions, they must bring in people who do, because without that understanding they are simply not fit to lead in the 21st century,” Howl wrote.
