The President of Poland’s data protection authority, UrzÄ…d Ochrony Danych Osobowych, and representatives of other central and eastern European data protection authorities signed a joint declaration on simplifying data protection requirements on small- and medium-sized enterprises and nongovernmental organizations. Key provisions of the declaration include conducting full assessments of planned legislative changes, providing support to NGOs and committing additional funding to the DPAs to support their compliance assistance efforts with stakeholders.
