The European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski released information detailing recent guidance that aims to ensure EU co-legislators prioritize the protection of citizens’ information. Wiewiórowski said the guidance includes “a checklist of items that the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council should take into account to both meet a given legislation’s objectives, whilst maintaining a high standard of personal data protection for its citizens.”
