Germany’s Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information released its annual report detailing data protection enforcement and the authority’s strategic advancements. In 2024, the BfDI worked to resolve 8,670 complaints, prepared for the implementation of the EU AI Act and promoted transparency while protecting sensitive health information during the preparation of the electronic patient record initiative.
