France’s data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, opened a public consultation on browsing session recording and replay tools that allow an entity to record a web user’s entire browsing activity on a website or app. The CNIL aims to develop recommendations for replay tool providers and website publishers to ensure their development and use complies with the law.Â
