Google’s attempt to train AI technology to navigate data requests from law enforcement is facing challenges, Forbes reports. Chief among the hurdles is reported engineer layoffs delaying development of the project. Electronic Frontier Foundation Senior Public Interest Technologist Cooper Quintin said the use of AI technology could make handling data access requests more challenging as Google “already has a problem with responding to fake orders and reports.”
