Norway’s Ministry of Digitisation and Public Governance submitted proposed legislation to transpose the EU AI Act and create a dedicated agency, AI Norway, that will focus on developing AI as part of the government’s AI Act oversight regime. The bill would take effect in summer 2026, if approved.
