Center for Strategic and International Studies Senior Fellow Laura Caroli examined the second draft of the EU AI Act Code of Practice for general-purpose AI models. Caroli explored the differences between the first and second drafts of the code and how the latest iteration aims at compromise by going “softer on industry.” Meanwhile, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development published research calling for developing standard data license templates for sharing data among AI users.
